Phantom Targets rewards disciplined routing more than fast climbing. To upgrade the three required Cargo Elevator antennas, Raiders must identify the correct extraction structures, reach their roofs, and verify progress before moving on. That makes ARC Raiders BluePrints useful preparation, but the real advantage comes from choosing safe objectives and protecting the supplies needed for later fights.

Why This Objective Is Worth Planning Around

The antenna task gives you more than project progress. It teaches where players naturally converge, how exposed extraction zones are, and when a short interaction is worth the travel risk. Those lessons remain valuable during late progression, when a poor route can cost rare equipment and several minutes of preparation.

Each upgrade must be completed at a different Cargo Elevator. Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Riven Tides are the most practical choices because their extraction layouts are easy to identify. You can spread the work across multiple raids, which is usually better than forcing a long chain through contested ground.

Choose the Route That Protects Your Inventory

Dam Battlegrounds is the strongest general option for early and mid progression. Its recognizable terrain makes it easier to approach an elevator from cover. Spaceport can be efficient for experienced squads, but its open sightlines punish rushed rooftop movement. Riven Tides suits players who understand coastal rotations and can avoid predictable crossings.

ApproachBest UseMain Risk
Single raid routeStrong gear and quiet areasLong exposure
Three raid routeEarly progression and light kitsSlower project pace
Squad rotationCoordinated perimeter controlMore visible movement
The three raid route is the better choice for most players. A light loadout preserves healing items and shields, while a short objective run limits the value lost if another group reaches the elevator first.

How to Complete Each Antenna Efficiently

Find the low extraction building with multiple doors, then climb to its roof without activating the elevator. The antenna assembly sits beside the radar equipment. Start the interaction only after checking nearby approaches, because the progress bar leaves you exposed.

When the interaction ends, step away and inspect the Phantom Targets tracker on the map. The visual state may not change clearly, and the prompt can remain available after progress registers. If the counter rises, leave immediately instead of repeating the same action.

Carry enough healing and shield supplies for the route, but avoid filling your inventory with valuables before the objective is complete.
Watch the elevator from cover for a few seconds because footsteps and distant shots often reveal another Raider nearby.
Use separate elevators for every count and confirm the tracker after each successful interaction.
Extract after meaningful progress when the next route crosses open terrain or active fighting.

The Overlooked Value of Defensive Rewards

The first stage provides Combat Mk. 3 Aggressive, a Heavy Shield, and Vita Spray. Many players focus on offensive upgrades and undervalue the Heavy Shield, yet it is especially useful for antenna runs because rooftop interactions create predictable moments of vulnerability.

Who Benefits Most From This Setup?

Solo Raiders with modest equipment gain the most from defensive rewards during early progression. Squads may prefer aggressive builds when controlling an elevator, but the Heavy Shield remains valuable for the player performing the interaction. Vita Spray also helps preserve stronger healing items for ARC encounters and deeper farming routes.

When to Continue and When to Leave

Continue toward another elevator only when the route is compact, your supplies are healthy, and your inventory contains nothing irreplaceable. Leave after one upgrade if the area becomes noisy, an ARC patrol closes in, or the next site demands a long exposed crossing.

That conservative rhythm turns the objective into reliable progression rather than a test of endurance. Players preparing for later project stages should protect useful combat resources, learn extraction traffic, and spend only what each antenna requires. A small reserve of cheap ARC Items can support repeated attempts, but smart timing matters more than carrying extra gear.
